Oh dear. This poor blog is rather covered in dust and cobwebs from such neglect.

It’s been Festival season in Edinburgh, and while in theory, I like the buzz of the city in Festival time, the reality of constant crowds and noise leaves this introvert feeling a little like this:


I hope now that the Festival is over, I will return to blogging soon.

In the meantime, I’ll post Sunday’s sermon. (For those of you waiting on the sermon from St John’s Evensong last Sunday: well, it was a hot mess that I’d rather not subject you to. I hadn’t preached at OSP in weeks so felt out of practice, and I always struggle anyway to write a sermon for a congregation I don’t know. The sooner that humiliation recedes from memory, the better.)
